The PFC FrontEnd from Vicor’s Westcor Division is a 1 RU, fan-cooled, power-factor-corrected ac-dc front end. It operates from 85 Vac to 264 Vac and provides 375 VOUT with a power density greater than 28 W/in3.
Measuring just 6.4 in. x 7 in. x 1.72 in. (162.6 mm x 177.8 mm x 43.2 mm), the unit provides power outputs of 1100 W at 115 Vac or 2200 W at 230 Vac through four non-isolated outputs. The unit also meets Mil Std 810E for vibration. It also has worldwide safety agency approvals from CE and cTÜVus. Prices are $0.15 per Watt at 100 pieces.
