RECOM's new RAC04-Family is for applications with mounting space restriction and low weight requirement. An efficiency close to 80% guarantees high reliability. According to MIL-Standards the MTBF reaches 350.000 hours, or 40 years continuous operation.
The very compact product series operates with inputs from 90VAC to 264VAC at 47 to 440Hz and provides outputs of 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V or 24V. The completely encapsulated modules weigh only 26 grams and measure 36.5 x 27.0 x 17.1 mm (LxWxH). They are isolated to 3kVAC(4kVAC optional), short-circuit protected and are overload and overvoltage protected.
This new series features very low no-load current - in standby-mode only 120mW are drawn - a power dissipation better by a factor 10 compared to conventional products. All converters feature as a standard "Class B"-Filters to EN55022. These modules can be operated with natural cooling at temperatures between -40ºC to +70ºC, whereby Derating has to be observed.
