Power-One has been named Meritorious Performance Supplier in Sun Microsystems’ 2006 Supplier Awards program. The award honors companies that have delivered superior quality and value to Sun’s customers.
Suppliers are judged on their performance in the areas of cost, quality, lead-time and delivery, and strategic and technical development. Based on these criteria, Sun awards suppliers for Best-in-Class and Meritorious Performance, and also names one Supplier of the Year.
“We are honored to have been chosen for this award from Sun as it is indicative of our early success in the server and storage markets, which we have been targeting for only a short time,” said Bill Yeates, Chief Executive Officer of Power-One. “We believe we have the best technologies in power, including the highest efficiency and ‘green’ power that effectively reduces the operating cost for users of Sun’s systems.”
