Power-One’s HP600 Series of 600-W rack-mount front-end ac-dc converters are available with up to five outputs from 0.8 V to 48 V, plus a 5-V standby output. The series is designed for applications requiring several high-current rails and can provide up to 80 A on a single output.
These hot swappable supplies feature backplane-mounted ac connectors, a universal input range, power-factor correction, full-power operation up to 122°F ambient, an I2C-interface, no minimum-load requirements, and internal ORing diodes to support paralleling and current sharing for up to four outputs. Housed in a 1U-high enclosure of 11.5 in. x 5 in., pricing is typically below $500 per unit.
