The staff of PETech Times and members of the PMBus Implementers Forum have teamed up to create a second outlet for PETech Times news. Now, all of the news and new product stories appearing weekly in the PETech Times newsletter are also available at the PMBus website in the News & Events section.
Newsletter stories first appeared on the PMBus website on February 21, 2007 as part of a website redesign, which provided greater access to technical specifications and up-to-date information on all PMBus-based solutions. PETech Times stories continue to be posted on the Power Electronics Technology magazine homepage under "News Products" and "Industry News From PETech Times".
The PMBus Implementers Forum was launched in 2005 by a core group of power management companies to address the market need for an open standard for communication between elements of a power system. Implemented over the industry-standard SMBus serial interface, the PMBus protocol facilitates the programming, control and real-time monitoring of compliant power conversion products. The PMBus-IF is part of the System Management Interface Forum (SMIF), a nonprofit industry-standards group. See www.pmbus.org for more information.
