Isolated DC-DC Converter Features Minimal Derating

Oct 3, 2007 12:39 PM

FDK Corporation's FPQR48T5R030 is a regulated dc-dc converter in the quarter-brick format that provides 150 W at 30 A. The unit is a member of the Sensei series, all of which deliver full-rated output current with little derating at high ambient temperatures without the need for heatsinks. With a 48-Vdc input, the FPQR48T5R030 converter provides 30 A of output current in ambient temperatures up to 75°C, with 400 LFM airflow.

The FPQR48T5R030 converter operates from a 36-Vdc to 75-Vdc input and provides a tightly regulated 5-Vdc output. It delivers efficiencies in excess of 91% and features input-to-output dc isolation of 1500 Vdc. In quantities of 1000 pieces, the FPQR48T5R030 converter is priced at $47.
