Spotlight on Digital Power
Occupying less than a cubic inch of space, the BPS-2 series power supplies from Bias Power effectively eliminate line EMI so that no input filtering is required. The supplies generate single or dual output, operate from an 85-Vac to 265-Vac input, and offer high reliability. The BPS is suitable for a variety of low-power and standby-mode applications. It efficiently handles the widest possible load variations and has a no-load power consumption of less than 30 mW.
The Bias design blocks EMI by isolating the input path for the duration of the conducted noise. The circuit also maximizes conversion efficiency up to 75% and effectively regulates output voltages. Outputs of 8 V and 14 V, and dual output of 8 Vdc and 5 Vdc are available. The BPS-2 measures 1 in. x 7/8 in. x 1/2 in. and features rugged construction, making it well suited for portable and harsh environment applications.
Available immediately, BPS-2 series power supplies are priced under $6 in small OEM quantities.
