Astrodyne’s ASM Series is a line of ultra-miniature open frame switching power supplies. Approved for medical applications, the ASM Global Performance Series features the combined benefit of reduced size and lower cost. These members of the ASM Series provide output power over a range of 10 W to 15 W. All models accept universal input from 90 Vac to 264 Vac. Ten models are available that provide single outputs of 3.3 Vdc to 24 Vdc.
The ASM Global Performance Series provides convenient corner mounting holes and is connector-pinout and mounting-size compatible to other industry-standard products. The ASM Series features single-sided construction, an integral power-good LED indicator and an output adjustment potentiometer.
All ASM Series products operate over an ambient temperature range of 0°C to 50°C without forced cooling or output power de-rating. Each model contains short-circuit protection circuitry as well as internal input filtering. The series is fully approved to EN60601-1 / UL2601 medical safety specifications. It is also available in commercially approved versions designated as the ASL Series.
The dimensions of the ASM Series are as compact as 2.28 in. x 2 in. x 0.56 in. (10-W version) and all models feature min-sized Molex style I/O connections. Prices start at $29 in OEM quantities.
