Linear Technology’s LTC3527/-1 dual-output synchronous boost regulators integrate 800-mA and 400-mA switches that generate outputs as high as 5.25 V from an input as low as 0.70 V (or 0.5 V after startup). The regulators’ ability to start up and run off low voltages helps to extend battery life in portable applications.

Notes: The LTC3527/-1 can deliver up to 200 mA and 100 mA of continuous output at 3.3 V when operating from a single alkaline cell, or 400 mA and 200 mA of continuous output from dual alkaline cells. The chips can regulate output voltage even when VIN exceeds VOUT, further extending battery run time.
