Micrel’s MIC2225 is an ultra-small dual-channel IC that integrates a 600-mA, 2-MHz synchronous buck regulator with an independent 300-mA LDO. Fixed-output voltage options are available down to 1 V on the buck converter, and 0.8 V on the LDO. The unique PWM architecture also offers fast transient response, and low output ripple. The device efficiency is greater than 90%.
Available in a leadless 10-pin 2-mm x 2-mm thin MLF package, the junction temperature range for the device is from –40°C to +125°C. The MIC2225 is available now, and pricing is $1.30 for 1000 units.
