International Rectifier’s IRS212x family of 600-V single-channel gate drivers include integrated protection features, such as undervoltage-lockout protection, overcurrent detection and protection, and fault reporting. The family is suitable for motor-control applications at low-, mid- and high-voltage levels, and in a variety of circuit topologies. These topologies include three-phase inverters, H-bridges, and others that use MOS-gated power devices.
The IC family supports a gate voltage up to 20 V, a typical turn-on current of 290 mA, a typical turn-off current of 600 mA, and accepts input-logic levels of 3.3 V, 5 V, and 15 V. High-voltage level-shifting and termination technology provides the family with superior electrical overstress protection and higher field reliability. Pricing for the IRS212x family begins at $0.79 in quantities of 100,000 units.
