ABB Corporate Research will sponsor a Principal Plus fellowship through the CPES on drives integration technologies. The goal of the project is to explore innovative concepts to package passive devices for 3-phase ac-motor drives to achieve smaller size, lower cost, lower part numbers, better thermal management, and high reliability.
CPES Principal Plus Members are offered the option to participate in the center's power management consortium (PMC), or sponsor a fellowship project to explore a research area of mutual interest. This relationship provides the opportunity to gain more tangible benefits via elevated research collaboration and direct interactions with the research team and designated fellowship recipients and corresponding faculty. Taking advantage of this plan, ABB Corporate Research has chosen to sponsor this fellowship.
