Gresham Power Electronics announces the availability of the LB115 power supply family intended for LED architectural lighting applications. The new power supply series delivers 115 watts in a compact 2" x 4" x 1.2" footprint and has a built in EMI filter to meet EN55015 class B requirements for lighting fixtures.
The LB115 is a single output internal power supply with a wide operating temperature range that is ideal for low power LED applications. These include building and stage lighting systems which require an efficient and compact power solution.
The LB115 features a universal input of 90 to 264Vac and is available in four models with output voltages of 12, 24, 48 and 56VDC. The LB115 features a convection cooled rating of 75 watts and a maximum air cooled rating of 115 watts with 200 LFM, which is delivered throughout the wide operating temperature range from -20°C to +50°C. The LB115 starts up at -40°C and can operate safely in elevated temperatures with reduced output loading providing a remarkable -40°C to +70°C temperature range.
In addition, the LB115 series has active Power Factor Correction (PFC) and meets the critical requirements of the European Union for harmonic distortion in accordance to IEC61000-3-2 Class C from 0% dimming (less than 1Watt) to full dimming. Fully compliant to applicable safety and EMC standards, these Level V efficiency compliant power supplies allow easy integration into many LED, industrial and ITE applications.

The TE industrial Micro-MaTch connector family was originally developed to meet customers' needs for internal wiring able to withstand constant vibrations within industrial electronic products.
Available in a variety of wire-to-board and board-to-board interconnections, the Micro-MaTch Value-line contact helps prevent fretting corrosion. Relative movements caused by vibrations/thermal expansion between male and female contacts are absorbed by an additional positioning spring in the female part. By preventing movements on the contact spot, a gas tight connection can make the Micro-MaTch contact spring system fretting corrosion resistant.
E-Switch introduces the 25mm ULV8 switch to its popular anti-vandal series joining the 22mm ULV7, 19mm ULV4 and PV Series to extend the anti-vandal switch family.
The ULV8 is UL certified, providing an electrical rating of 3A 250VAC. Additional features include IP67 rated moisture protection for extreme temperatures - snow, ice and dusty environments, a long operating life up to 1,000,000 life cycles (momentary) and 500,000 (latching), 50,000 cycle electrical life and travel of 3.2mm.
Body construction materials include stainless steel or black anodized aluminum for this pushbutton switch. Littelfuse has introduced the company's first discrete thyristor devices capable of withstanding voltage spikes higher than 1,200V. The Littelfuse Teccor brand SK225xD/SK255KD/SK625xD/SK655KD Series SCR Switching Thyristors are unidirectional switches designed to handle voltage spikes and power surges in incoming AC power mains. These SCRs can take up to 1,300V (SK225xD and SK255KD Series) or 1,700V (SK625xD and SK655KD Series) without malfunctioning. They are suitable for switching of 50/60Hz AC mains up to 440Vrms. These high voltage SCRs have high repetitive and non-repetitive peak off-stage voltage (VDRM/VDSM) ratings, ensuring reliable operation even when subjected to the high voltage surges common in commercial AC mains power in some areas.

Linear Technology introduces the LTM8067 and LTM8068, DC/DC µModule regulators with 2kVAC galvanic isolation. The LTM8067 and LTM8068 include an isolating transformer, control circuitry, power switches and other supporting components in a 9mm x 11.25mm x 4.92mm BGA package. Only one resister, plus input and output capacitors are required to complete the design. Pin creepage and clearance and other features permit these devices to be recognized by UL60950 Information Technology Equipment Safety. The LTM8068 includes an additional low noise linear regulator. Applications include ground loop elimination in systems with sensors or noise sensitive loads in industrial automation, test and measurement equipment.
The LTM8067 and LTM8068 operate from an input voltage range of 2.8V to 40V. Because of flyback topology, each can regulate an output voltage above, below or equal to the input voltage. The LTM8067 has an adjustable output voltage range of 2.5V to 24V with up to 450mA load current ability. The LTM8068, with a low noise linear regulator at its output, has an output voltage range of 1.2V to 18V. The linear regulator reduces the output voltage ripple to 20µVRMS at 300mA, improving the noise performance in powering high accuracy signal conditioning and mixed signal ICs.

Chroma Systems Solutions announces the release of a new addition to their 61800 series of Regenerative Grid Simulators. The 61830 is a full 4 quadrant, fully regenerative, 30kVA AC power source with advanced features satisfying rigorous regulatory standards testing as well as design and verification testing throughout the product development cycle.
The 61800's power can both sink and source from the UUT seamlessly to support countless applications. In cases where the UUT sources current, a detection circuit will sense the excess power and recycle it back to the grid. Designed to simulate grid characteristics the 61800 is targeted for testing PV inverter, on-line UPS, Smart Grid, Vehicle to Grid (V2G) and Energy Storage System (ESS) applications as well as common electrical product testing such as home appliances and industrial electronics requiring a programmable input source.

Vishay Intertechnology introduced a new series of surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) optimized for high-voltage industrial and telecom applications. Providing increased reliability over standard devices, the Vishay Vitramon HV High Voltage Series features a robust serial electrode design and an extended voltage range up to 5 kV in four standard EIA sizes from 1812 to 2225.
The higher breakdown voltage of the MLCCs released today increases reliability against voltage spikes, while their serial electrode design reduces the risk of short circuits due to mechanical cracks. Manufactured in noble metal electrode (NME) technology with a wet build process, the devices are ideal for input and output filtering in power supplies and analog and digital modems, snubbing in power converters, and buffering in voltage multipliers.
Featuring an X7R dielectric, HV High Voltage Series devices offer a voltage range from 3000 VDC to 5000 VDC, capacitance from 180 pF to 15 nF, a temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) of ±15 % from -55 °C to +125 °C, and an aging rate of 1 % maximum per decade. RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green, the MLCCs offer 100 % matte tin plate terminations.

Henkel Adhesive Technologies announced an addition to its line of Bergquist Liqui-Form Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs) with the market introduction of Liqui-Form 3500. A one-part, thermally conductive, liquid formable gel, Liqui-Form 3500 combines high thermal conductivity with process flexibility and excellent reliability.
Designed to provide a balance between dispensability, low component stress and reworkability, Liqui-Form 3500 delivers high conductivity of 3.5 W/m-K in a formulation that accommodates modern manufacturing environments. The viscosity of the material is exceptionally stable and is maintained during storage, processing and within the application.
"In many cases, Liqui-Form gels are an ideal replacement for traditional thermal interface pads," explains Jerry Schmitz, Liqui-Form Product Line Manager. "With assemblies that have numerous small parts, manually placing multiple pads is cumbersome, labor-intensive and can introduce unnecessary mechanical stress during final assembly. In applications with high value boards requiring end-of-line rework, Liqui-Form 3500 is quickly removed with a wipe and a final clean. The inherently low adhesion stress minimizes risk of damage when disassembling the part, allowing manufacturers to preserve the integrity of the printed circuit board assembly."
As Liqui-Form 3500 is pre-cured and has a higher viscosity than conventional thermal greases, it does not suffer from material migration - or "pump out" - over time, which contributes to its long-term reliability. In addition, the material has low volumetric expansion and stability in continuous use at temperatures as high as 200°C. Industry-leading low ionics is also a unique characteristic of Liqui-Form 3500, significantly reducing the threat of any potential electrical issues.
