Ultralife Batteries Receives $3.3 Million in Orders

Ultralife Batteries Inc. has received orders from the U.K. Ministry of Defence (MoD) and MoD contractors valued at more than $3.3 million, for various models of its advanced HiRate® military batteries for use in a wide variety of military applications, including thermal imaging, chemical agent detectors, man-pack radios, and other classified uses.

Production of these batteries has already begun, and deliveries are expected to continue over the next three to four months.

John Kavazanjian, Ultralife's president and CEO, said, “We have had a long-standing relationship with the U.K. MoD, one of our largest military customers, and are extremely pleased to have received these new orders for our high-performance lithium batteries for use in these mission critical applications. We anticipate continued demand for military batteries in Europe, supporting the exceptional revenue growth of our UK operation.”
