State of the Art, Inc. (SOTA) announces the offering of their Z termination line of miniature, high reliability chip resistors. Thin and thick film single surface and wrap around designs. The resistors range in size form 0402 (.040" X .020") to 2512 (.025" X .025"), with tolerances from 0.1%, power ratings from 50mW to 1500mW temperature coefficients of resistance as low as 25ppm, and voltage ratings from 30volts to 200V. The operating range for these resistors is from -55° C to + 125° C.
The Z Termination is a gold over nickel finish which can be attached with solder, conductive epoxy, or gold wire bonds. The Z termination resistors are a RoHS compliant product. Reliability is assured by extensive in house testing - users can select from a wide variety of testing options. These include standard product, Mil-PRF 55342 established reliability (R or S level), or space level to Mil-PRF-55342 "T" product level. Custom testing to customer specifications is also available.
SOTA chip resistors are designed for use in a wide range of high reliability applications including medical electronics, defense systems, microwave communications, aerospace electronics, and satellite systems.
Pricing is generally under $1.50 in manufacturing quantities. Current lead time is eight weeks, but SOTA maintains more than 50 million resistors in stock. Delivery on stock items is two business days ARO.
