The VESD05A8A-HNH from Vishay Intertechnology is an ESD-protection array that integrates eight diodes in a leadless LLP1713 package. The device has a profile of 0.55 mm and protects up to eight signal or data lines in bi-directional asymmetrical (BiAs) mode. It can also be used as a seven-line protection device in bi-directional symmetrical (BiSy) mode.
The ESD-diode array features a typical capacitance of 30 pF and a maximum leakage current of less than 1 μA at 5 V. It provides transient protection for one data line as per IEC 6100042 (ESD) at 25 kV (air and contact discharge) and IEC 6100045 (lightning) from 4.5 A (tp = 8/20μs). Samples are available, and pricing is $12 for 100 pieces.
