Spotlight on Digital Power
Wurth Electronics Midcom Inc has released the WE-TPC (T and TH size) line of small shielded surface mount inductors. This power inductor line has a high current for a small footprint package size. The part has been designed for use in digital cameras, portable power devices and PCM/CIA cards.
The WE-TPC (T and TH size) line has standard inductance values from 0.11uH to 22.0uH and is magnetically shielded which provides reduced EMI fields compared to similar inductors. The footprint measures 2.8mm x 2.8mm with a height of 1.1mm for the T size and 1.35mm for the TH size. The current ratings for the devices are from 400mA to 4.8A.
The inductor is constructed using materials allowing for operation temperature from -40°C to 125°C. The device has a large solder pad area for a high reliable solder connection meeting most shock and vibration testing.
