Tyco Electronics’ picoSMD035F PolySwitch resettable polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) device is an SMT component that protects high-frequency data ports, I/O ports and storage devices. The 0805(2012 mm) EIA-compliant form factor of the device consumes less than half the board space required by previous offerings.
Rated at 6 V, the picoSMD035F device provides a hold current of 0.35 A, a trip current of 0.75 A, and a maximum resistance of 1.4 Ω. The device meets safety agency standards, and is full-edge terminated with nickel-gold finish for superior solderability. Pricing is $0.30 each for 100,000 pieces.
