In his SMPS Technology Newsletter, Jerrold Foutz reports that an instructional video, “R-C Snubbers,” which features power design expert Rudy Severns, is available at www.snubberdesign
.com/rc-snubber-circuit-design-video.html. Released last week to Foutz’s Snubber Design Newsletter, this is the first of six instructional videos that will be released through the newsletter at a rate of one per week. For those without a broadband Internet connection, a transcription of the video is also provided.
Last summer, Foutz filmed video of Rudy Severns discussing his ebook, "Snubber Circuits for Power Electronics", at his mountain-top offices, lab, and library in Oregon. This is the basis of the video series on snubbers. Foutz has been reviewing and commenting on each chapter as Rudy Severns has been writing the book.
“This is an exciting book that will fill a real need,” says Foutz. “Rudy may be the only living author that has the theoretical and practical knowledge to write about snubbers in this depth, yet with an easy-to-understand writing style.”
