From Omron Electronic Components, the G5LA relay series is a cost-effective alternative to industry-standard sugar-cube-style relays. This relay offers a switching capacity of 10 A at 250 Vac and 24 Vdc on the normally open contacts and 5 A at 125 Vac and 24 Vdc on the normally closed contacts. Typical electrical life is 100,000 operations at those rated loads.
The high-capacity G5LA-E relays have a resistive-load rating of 5 A at 250 Vac and 24 Vdc on the normally closed contacts. They also have a 10 A rating at 277 Vac, general use, with 100,000 cycle rating per UL on the normally closed contacts. They are designed to operate in an ambient range of -40 ºC to +85 ºC.
Measuring 19.6 mm x 15.6 mm x 15.6 mm (l x w h), the G5LA offers a lower profile than existing packages, while maintaining the industry-standard footprint. These relays are well suited to appliance applications such as dishwashers, dryers, microwaves, ovens, and washing machines. They also accommodate HVAC designs such as blowers, igniters, compressors, valves, and motors.
Pricing for the G5LA relays in 500-piece quantities ranges from $0.49 to $0.68 each. For more information, see http://www.components.omron.com.
