Polymer Capacitors Offer Low ESR

Sep 19, 2007 11:59 AM

Nichicon’s CJ and LE series Polymer Aluminum capacitors offer extremely low ESR and are well suited for high-speed digital equipment. The conductive polymer construction (solid electrolyte) also provides for higher ripple current, smaller size and longer life when compared to equivalent standard aluminum-electrolytic capacitors.

The CJ (SMT) and LE (radial lead) series also offer up to 30% lower ESR when compared to standard polymer types. The CJ has a voltage range of 2.5 V to 6.3 V, with a capacitance range of 39 μF to 2700 μF. The LE series also has a voltage range of 2.5 V to 6.3 V, and a capacitance range of 470 μF to 1500 μF. Samples and production quantities are available now. Prices range from $0.20 to $0.40 in volume.
