Nichicon’s line of molded conductive polymer capacitors, the F11 series, features a layered-aluminum design to provide low ESR and ESL over a wide frequency range. The series also uses a conductive polymer electrolyte, and a unique three-terminal design all in a molded package. This structure decreases the magnetic field and inductance at ultra high frequency, so the part achieves excellent impedance characteristics over a wide frequency range. It can therefore eliminate the need for several capacitors while also providing greater performance.
The F11 series has a voltage range of 2.5 V to 6.3 V, and a capacitance range of 47 μF to 2400 μF. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. Two sizes are presently available: the F size (16.7 mm x 12.1 mm x 2.5 mm), and the D size (8.5 mm x 5.3 mm x 2.0 mm). Sample and production quantities are available now.
