Spotlight on Digital Power
IRC’s Advanced Film Division’s 3-W SMT chip resistor, the LRF3W Series, is offered in a package size traditionally rated at 1 W. Because of its high power rating, the series is ideal for sensing high currents, including fuel gauging and overcurrent detection.
The resistance for the series ranges from 0.002 Ω to 0.100 Ω, with absolute tolerances of ±1%, ±2%, ±5% and ±10%. Power dissipation is up to 3 W at 70°C, with TCRs as low as ±100 ppm/°C. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +150°C. Pricing is $0.20 for 1800 pieces.
