Murata Power Solutions’ 5300, 5400 and 5500 series of surface-mount current-sense transformers can be used to measure or monitor ac currents in high-frequency applications such as switched-mode power supplies, motor controllers, and electronic lighting ballasts.

Device type: Current-sense transformer
AC current ratings (primary): 10 A (5300 series) and 15 A and 15 A (5400 and 5500 series)
Turns ratios: 1:20 to 1:200 (5300 series) and 1:50, 1:100 or 1:200 turns (5400 and 5500 series)
Operating frequency range: 50 kHz to 500 kHz
Primary-to-secondary isolation: 500 Vrms (5300 series), 1200 Vrms (5400 series), and 1000 Vrms (5500 series)
Operating temperature range: -40ºC to +125ºC.
Packaging: Compact designs using UL94 V-0 package materials. Units measure 8.3 mm (w) x 7.2 mm (l) x 5.4 mm (h) (5300 series), 10.8 mm (w) x 9.0 mm (l) x 8.2 mm (h) (5400 series), and 14.6 mm (w) x 12.6 mm (l) x 7.1 mm (h) (5500 series)
RoHS compliant: Yes
Target applications: switched-mode power supplies, motor controllers, and electronic lighting ballasts.
