Kamaya announces the expansion of its surface mount fuse line with the addition of the FMC16 series. The FMC16 series is a low-ohm, fast-acting, over-current chip fuse with improved pulse capability. The low internal resistance means less power consumption and the improved pulse capability means fewer opens with larger in-rush currents. The FMC16, "0603" size package, is available in current ratings of 0.5 to 5.0 A with a fusing time of 5 seconds max at 200% rated current. Interrupt rating is 32 Vdc at 35 A. The FMC16 is UL and c-UL recognized (file No. E176847) and are lead-free and RoHS compliant.
Samples are available immediately with production quantities in 8 weeks. Pricing in small quantities starts at $ 0.50 ea. Packaging is 5,000 pcs on a 7-in. reel. Kamaya offers many other SMD secondary fusing solutions in 0402, 0603, 0805, and 1206 size packages.
Kamaya is a manufacturer and supplier of passive components and a member of the Passive Systems Alliance offering a full complement of electronic products including chip fuses, resistors, capacitors, inductors and current sensing products
