Providing design engineers with one of the lowest profile precision potentiometers in the industry, TT electronics BI Technologies Electronic Components Division has developed a single-turn conductive plastic potentiometer with a 22-mm diameter. The 6130 Series devices include two types of potentiometers, the 6137 and 6138 types, both of which share the same mechanical outline and include a standard 0.25-in. slotted shaft and 0.375-in. bushing.
The 6130 Series devices utilize an advanced bushing system, making the potentiometers ideal for industrial control applications. The 6137 potentiometer with standard mounting configuration is capable of 5 million shaft revolutions; the 6138 device has a lifespan of 10 million shaft revolutions, and can withstand a side load of one pound.
Both the 6137 and 6138 potentiometers feature a standard resistance range of 1 kW to 100 kW and an independent linearity of ±1%. Upon request, the potentiometers are available with center tap, flatted shaft and stops. BI Technologies will also produce devices outside these specifications to meet customer requirements.
Typical pricing for the 6137 potentiometers is $4.00 to $6.00 each; the 6138 model ranges from $5.00 to $7.00 each. Specific pricing depends on quantity.
