Presentation Addresses Silver-Zinc Rechargeable Battery Technology

Mar 14, 2007 11:41 AM

Dr. Ross Dueber, president and CEO of Zinc Matrix Power, will discuss the benefits of silver-zinc rechargeable battery technology for portable applications during the 24th International Battery Seminar & Exhibit in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Silver-zinc rechargeable battery technology is receiving the attention of many Tier 1 notebook computer and cell phone manufacturers, as they see Li-ion battery technology reaching an energy density plateau. Dr. Dueber’s presentation will focus on the three primary benefits of silver-zinc batteries: high performance, safety and clean technology.

Zinc Matrix Power rechargeable batteries deliver up to twice the runtime of traditional Li-ion batteries. They also have an aqueous chemistry that is not flammable or toxic. As a result of the inherent safety, silver-zinc batteries are not subject to airline restrictions. Furthermore, the key components of silver-zinc battery technology can be 100% recycled and reused, making it an environmentally conscious alternative to many existing battery technologies.
