Pencom, a supplier of mechanical, electromechanical components, fasteners, thermal solutions and provider of Visible Inventory systems, has formed a Thermal Products Division, which began operation in June. Located in the San Francisco bay area, the division was formed to provide support to the growing needs of Pencom’s customers in the area of thermal management.
Technical and product support will be both provided direct from the company’s headquarters in the bay area and through Pencom’s facilities in Boston; St. Petersburg, Fla.; Austin and Dallas; and Tucson, Ariz. Other facilities include Sacramento, San Carlos, Brea, Hayward and Camarillo in California; Guadalajara and Nogales, Mexico; Singapore; Malaysia; and Hong Kong.
Pencom has brought on board industry veteran George Meyer to head up the new division. Meyer brings to Pencom 30 years of experience in the thermal management arena in functions ranging from R&D, operations, sales and marketing.
Pencom President, William Gardiner, stated, “Our Thermal Products Division is another step in our commitment to continue to provide OEMs and contract manufacturers with engineering, manufacturing and VMI support. This level of support is what has allowed Pencom to become a preferred supplier of fasteners, custom machined parts and thermal management products to the computer, telecommunications and electronics industry.”
