The Package Thermal Designer (PTD) from Harvard Thermal is a standalone tool designed for either packaging or electrical engineers. Launched directly from within Encore, PTD V2.0 automatically constructs a 3D thermal model using detailed design data, including traces, vias and wire bonds from the Encore database. The easy-to-follow user interface incorporates a tree structure that makes quick work of defining the package stack up.
