Spotlight on Digital Power
Ferroxcube has introduced gapped SMD beads intended for use as inductors in buck/boost stages in point-of-load converters (POLs). These beads feature the state of the art power material 3C96. Depending on relative ripple current, these components can be applied in applications with switching frequencies up to 1 MHz. Saturation rated current goes up to 20 A and dc resistance is less than 1 mΩ.
Available in two case sizes (1812 and 3512), the gapped beads are lead-free and fully comply with the RoHS regulations.
