Semtech Corp., a supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors for communications, portable devices and industrial equipment, has received an award for Outstanding Financial Performance by a Public Fabless Company at the 2004 Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA) awards dinner held in Santa Clara, Calif., on Dec. 9, 2004. Criterion for the award was either doubled revenue or net income over eight consecutive quarters for the period ending September 2004.
Jason Carlson, Semtech Corp.’s CEO, was present at the event to accept the award. Carlson commented, “This award recognizes Semtech’s achievement in executing a successful fabless model, a vision that developed from strategic planning efforts started in 1997.” Carlson added, “We are proud of this award and of the opportunity to work with other leaders in the semi space to help architect the future of the fabless semiconductor industry.”
FSA is the voice of the global fabless business model. The FSA provides a platform for meaningful global collaboration between fabless companies and their partners; provides members with timely research and resources; and identifies, debates and discusses business and technical issues. FSA members include fabless companies and their supply chain and service partners.
