Zetex Semiconductors, a manufacturer of analog signal processing and power management components, has been certified by Samsung Electronics as an Eco-Partner Affiliate Company. An on-site audit concluded that the Zetex environmental management system met all the requirements of Samsung’s Green Procurement Program.
With the aim of establishing a completely green supply network, the Program requires component suppliers to fully comply with the European Union’s RoHS Directive, which effectively bans the use of six different toxic substances beginning July 2006.
Zetex Group Quality Manager Paul Mitchell said, “Our certification as a Samsung-Eco-Partner highlights our commitment to provide customers with environmentally friendly products. Zetex was one of the first semiconductor manufacturers to offer a complete range of lead-free products.”
