Tiny Open-Frame Switchers Deliver Up to 22 W

Apr 12, 2006 11:23 AM

Astrodyne‘s OFM Series of ultraminiature open-frame modular switching power supplies provide output power ratings of 5 W, 10 W, 15 W and 22 W. All models accept universal input from 85 Vac to 265 Vac and 28 models are available that provide single outputs of 5 Vdc to 24 Vdc.

The OFM Series provides an economical power solution, and units are pin out and size compatible to more-costly encapsulated modules. The OFM Series features an integral power-good LED indicator and output adjustment potentiometer and will operate over the ambient temperature range of 0°C to 45°C without forced cooling or output power derating. All models contain overvoltage and short circuit protection circuitry and internal input filtering.

The OFM Series is fully approved to UL/EN60950-1 safety specifications. The OFM Series is also available in medically-approved (OFM/M) versions.  Dimensions as small as 2.28 in. x 1.77 in. x 0.83 in. (a 5-W model) are available and all models are designed for pc board plug-in mounting.  Contact Astrodyne for pricing and availability.
