Spotlight on Digital Power
Ron Van Dell has joined Primarion as president and CEO. Van Dell will lead the company in its continued development of innovative technologies based on digital control of power and I/O that optimize high-speed, low-voltage processor performance.
"Ron brings to Primarion a unique track record of successful business leadership and technological expertise in both the semiconductor and PC industries," said Pete Bodine, Primarion board director and general partner of APV Technology Partners, which was the first venture capital investor in Primarion. "His leadership and drive will be invaluable in taking Primarion to new levels of profitable growth."
Van Dell brings 25 years of semiconductor industry experience to the Primarion leadership team. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Legerity, a privately-held semiconductor company. He also served as general manager for Dell Computer's Dimension product line, overseeing Dell's worldwide home and small business desktop PCs, and as vice president and general manager of Communications Products for Harris Semiconductor, now Intersil Corp. Additionally, Van Dell held international management positions in the United States and Europe at Groupe Schneider, Square D Company, and General Electric.
"Primarion has developed innovative technology and market-leading products, and I'm excited to lead the charge to realize its full potential," Van Dell said. "With a solid executive team and world-class engineering talent, I am confident that Primarion will stay at the forefront of the growing digital power industry."
