The MAX5888 from Maxim Integrated Products is a state-of-the-art high-performance 16-bit, 500 Msps digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It offers industry-leading performance in spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) and adjacent-channel leakage ratio (ACLR), making it ideal for applications such as broadband multicarrier communications, direct IF synthesis, automated test equipment (ATE), and instrumentation. It also features an LVDS input interface.

At a 40 MHz output frequency, the MAX5888 offers an SFDR of 76 dBc. At an output frequency of 61 MHz (3.8 MHz channel), the ACLR is 73 dBc. The MAX5888 achieves this high level of performance while consuming only 130 mW (typ) at a 100 Msps sampling rate.

Available in a space-saving 68-pin QFN-EP package, it is specified for the extended-industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
