Recent appointments at Condor D.C. Power Supplies and at West Coast Magnetics include the naming of a new president at the power supply company and a new sales manager at the magnetic component supplier.

SL Industries Inc. has appointed Eugene J. Ruddy as president of Condor D.C. Power Supplies, its wholly owned subsidiary. Ruddy brings to Condor more than two decades of general management, engineering and manufacturing experience, including responsibility for operations in the Far East. Previously, he served as vice president and general manager of Fadal Machining Centers since 2002.

Ruddy holds a B.S. degree in engineering and an M.B.A. degree from Embry-Riddle University. In a related move, SL Industries has named former Condor president, Salvatore V. Ronchetti, as executive vice president of its Power Electronics Group. He will continue to play an instrumental role with Condor’s senior management team on market and product development initiatives.

Meanwhile, Walter Harper has been appointed customer service/sales administration supervisor for Condor DC Power Supplies. He will be responsible for managing the company’s Customer Service/Sales Administration department. Harper has held a number of management and senior-level customer-service posts, most recently with Graybar Electric, a wholesale distributor of electrical, voice and data products.

As manager of customer service for Graybar Electric, he was in charge of overseeing customer-service personnel and systems at all of the company’s more than 250 distribution centers throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

At West Coast Magnetics, Stacy Mikkelsen is taking over as the new sales manager. Her appointment became effective October 17. Mikkelsen has almost 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, most recently as international sales manager for Insulair, a manufacturer of custom engineered paper products.

As sales manager for West Coast Magnetics, Mikkelsen will oversee the sales and marketing function for the entire company, including domestic and international accounts. Mikkelsen holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Stanislaus.
