Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. (AnalogicTech) has introduced a new dual Low Dropout (LDO) linear regulator offering the functionality of two LDOsone at 300 mA and a second at 150 mAin a single 12-pin 3 mm × 2.85 mm TSOPJW package. Designed for portable products needing higher levels of integration, the AAT3242 features two completely independent Power OK (POK) outputs.
The two POK pins on the AAT3242 provide open drain output signals when their respective regulator output is within regulation. Independent input voltage and enable pins maximize design flexibility. A low 140 µA quiescent current and low dropout voltages (400 mV @ 300 mA and 200 mV @ 150 mA) help extend battery life.
The AAT3242 provides an output voltage accuracy of ±1.5% and a Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) of 65 dB @ 1 kHz. The dual LDO also features complete overcurrent and short-circuit protection. In addition, overtemperature circuits protect the device in extreme environments.
Available in a compact 12-pin TSOPJW package, the AAT3242 is qualified over a -40°C to 85°C temperature range. Pricing starts at $0.76 each in 1000-piece quantities.
