Galaxy Power Inc. recently appointed Lou DeBartelo president and CEO, effective immediately.
DeBartelo has a long and successful history in the power conversion industry, having previously served as CEO of EOS Corp. of California and prior to that, president of North America for Artesyn Technologies. He was also instrumental in the significant growth of Computer Products Inc. and continued in that growth as CPI merged with Zytec Corp. to become Artesyn Technologies.
DeBartelo replaces Howard Kaepplein who has retired from his position as president and CEO, but continues in his role as chairman of the board of directors. Kaepplein was a founder of Galaxy Power in 1993 and has led it through many successful years of profitable growth.
