Due to increased customer requests for 3D models of its dc-dc converters, V-infinity now offers the majority of its dc-dc converters, more than 1500 individual models in all, in 3D. Available online at www.v-infinity.com, users will be able to configure, view, and download 3D models in many of the major mechanical CAD formats for free, eliminating unnecessary data conversion costs and delays. Available formats include SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop, among others.
The dc-dc converters, including standard bricks, point of load units, and a number of encapsulated, board-mounted models, can be dropped directly into a product’s design to check compatibility in just a few mouse clicks. This enables the engineer to easily test the form and fit of a converter, ultimately shortening the design cycle.
