Spotlight on Digital Power
Celestica Inc. recently announced its collaboration with Potentia Semiconductor to jointly market products and offer comprehensive power system solutions.
Using Celestica power conversion products and Potentia power management products, the two companies will provide complete power delivery and power management solutions for OEMs. The companies will work together on coordinated product roadmaps and product development, and offer collaborative support through joint application notes and reference designs resident on their respective Web sites.
“Our continuing goal is to provide innovative solutions to meet our customers’ needs,” said Christopher Stratas, general manager, Celestica Power Systems. “Potentia offers effective ways to design and implement power management for complex circuit boards. Combined with our industry-leading power converters, we can offer our customers reliable and complete power system solutions.”
“We are pleased to be working with a leading supplier of high-performance power solutions like Celestica with whom we have a common vision on how the future of power is evolving,” said Luke Smith, president and CEO, Potentia Semiconductor. “Today’s power engineers are struggling to design the most efficient power systems for their devices. This relationship reinforces our commitment to transforming the ways engineers design power.”
The first offering from the Celestica-Potentia collaboration will be joint application notes and reference designs. These will be available in second quarter of 2004.
