Emerson Network Power, a division of Emerson, has appointed Bharat S. Shah as vice president sales and marketing for Astec Power's dc-dc business. In this position, Shah succeeds Mark Rice who has moved to Astec Sweden as vice president Ericsson embedded products.
“Bharat has demonstrated great strategic vision and innovation in the power industry. We’re pleased to welcome him to the Astec team,” noted Pam Jackson, vice president and general manager of Astec Power's dc-dc business. With more than 20 years of experience, Shah brings an extensive background in the power industry to his new position, most recently as co-founder, president, and CEO of BIAS Power Technology, a recipient of The Product of the Year Award from EDN Magazine. Previously, he was co-founder and executive vice president of Power Trends, as well as founder, president and CEO of Power Sensors. Shah earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore India and a master’s degree in Electronics from the University of Texas. He will be based at Astec Power's corporate headquarters in Carlsbad, Calif.
