24-V input eighth-bricks and quarter-bricks have been added to Artesyn Technologies’ Typhoon family of board-mounted dc-dc converters. The new product series initially comprises two 20-A eighth bricks and two 30-A quarter bricks, offering single isolated outputs of 1.8 V and 3.3 V. The 24-V input Typhoon brick converters are primarily intended for 27-V wireless base stations, space-critical telecom applications and general 24-V industrial electronics systems.
The converters’ nominal 24-V input accommodates any voltage in the range 18 V to 36 V, making them suitable for distributed power architecture (DPA) systems with either 24-Vdc or 28-Vdc power distribution buses.
