Rockwell Automation (Anorad brand) has introduced a new series of miniature motors to its portfolio of high-performance brushless linear servo motor products.
The LEU Series is an ironless core, brushless linear motor producing up to 26 lb of peak force with an overall width of just 18 mm. The LEU motors are offered in two coil heights, the LEU-15, (15 mm) and the LEU-30 (30 mm). The LEU Series has six coil sizes of 35 mm, 65 mm, and 95 mm for the LEU-15 and LEU-30 models, which are supported by four magnet channels in lengths of 60 mm, 90 mm, 150 mm and 300 mm.
The LEU’s ironless core design provides ultra smooth motion since there are no winding laminations to produce cogging. The small coil and magnet track footprint makes the LEU readily adaptable for moving coil or magnet stage designs to reduce cable loading and cable wear. Its compact size makes it the ideal motor for high precision and compact stage applications such as miniature parts handling systems and precision pick-and-place machines.
