PowerDsine has been awarded an “Ethernet switch assembly patent” in the United States, extending its portfolio of power-over-Ethernet (PoE)-related patents. The patent #6,909,943, issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on June 21, 2005, is addressed to Ethernet switch assemblies that incorporate PoE technology.
PowerDsine’s embedded PoE technology is an instrumental part of the company’s product offerings to Ethernet switch vendors.
“We believe there is great growth potential for PoE in the Ethernet switch market and receipt of this patent further establishes our commitment to PoE innovation,” said PowerDsine CEO Igal Rotem.
