Spotlight on Digital Power
Yokowo's new two piece battery connector allows both horizontal and vertical blade insertion, as well as increased flexibility in designs. For reliability, the receptacle side features dual beam contact in both insertion directions. Two tabs are uniquely fitted on the receptacle to provide a secure grip around the blade upon insertion. Biaxial torsion and a floating function absorb the battery gap, and reduce the risk of intermittent power outages (even if the device is dropped).
The two-piece battery connector is ideal for use in devices where uninterrupted power is critical, including but not limited to data collection terminals, medical equipment, military devices, aerospace equipment, and devices that operate in harsh environments. A high current rating of up to 3A per blade makes the Yokowo connector suitable for a wide range of applications.
The two piece battery connector features a 30m? maximum (initial) contact resistance, operating temperatures ranging from -40ºC to +85ºC, voltage of 12V AC/DC and operational durability of 2,000 cycles. The blade is 11.5mm (H) x 5.4mm (W) x 18mm (L) and the receptacle is 9.1mm (H) x 5.5mm (W) x 19.1mm (L). Each blade consists of six contacts with a 3mm pitch.
