Proficiency Inc. said Salzgitter Automotive Engineering is using Proficiency’s collaboration gateway to automate the exchange of native models between various mechanical CAD systems, thus improving the efficiency of the collaborative design process between its OEM clients and their suppliers.
Salzgitter runs CATIA V4 and V5 from Dassault Systemes. It previously hired external engineers to process orders from customers requiring design models in other CAD systems but can now deliver native data in any format, regardless of the original system used to create the design.
