A Japanese automotive manufacturer has awarded MTS Systems Corporation a $27 million contract to design and deliver a state-of-the-art vehicle driving simulation system. The system, which will provide realistic capabilities for urban driving experiences, is expected to facilitate safe evaluation of accident avoidance systems by human drivers.
"This project is the result of both a long-standing history of delivering highly productive testing solutions as well as a successful collaboration with our customer to bring new technologies to market," said Sidney W. Emery, Jr., chairman and CEO.
"Engineering advanced vehicle simulation systems is at the heart of our competencies. This project furthers our mission of being the global leader in integrated, productive testing solutions that improve the product development process."
