Clarion Corporation of America is readying an integrated iPod solution for its VRX755VD in-dash DVD player/monitor combination, which is planned for introduction at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
A seven-inch touch screen monitor on the VRX755VD will give iPod users playlist, song and artist information while also providing a clock, and a display to control whatever sound enhancement features are installed.
Clarion also plans to unveil an iPod interface solution compatible with Clarion CeNET-equipped source units, which include CD receivers and in-dash DVD players with monitors. "As part of its long-term corporate vision, Clarion is committed to today's mobile infoentertainment age, an environment where consumers can access information while enjoying sound and visual entertainment," says Matt Matsuda, president of Clarion Corporation of America. "This new iPod in-car solution is a significant step in achieving this vision."
