Braintech Inc., which specializes in 3D-vision guided robotics (VGR) solutions for industrial automation processes, has signed a non-exclusive developer's agreement with Talk Engineering Co. Ltd., a Japanese machine vision developer and integrator with automotive industry experience.
Toyota plans to deploy a Braintech VGR system in its Tsutsumi facility, where it manufactures the Camry, ES 300 and Prius.
"The Japanese have installed nearly three times as many robots as North America, and have shown early signs of enthusiasm about VGR,” says Braintech Chief Executive officer Owen Jones.
