More Info on EmbedTek

EmbedTek was founded in 2002 by our current president and chief technology officer, Kent Tabor. The main focus was on opportunities to design custom panel PC solutions and provide engineering services to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers.

To jumpstart the development of their Brunswick New Technologies division, Brunswick Corporation purchased EmbedTek in 2003. After EmbedTek developed a marine electronic system and LCD-based entertainment system, Kent bought back full control of EmbedTek in 2005.

In 2010, Dan Aicher, Ted Platz, and Tom Fotsch invested in EmbedTek and joined the management team. All three having extensive experience in business development and the embedded computing business, Dan, Ted, and Tom provided the abilities to expand the business and develop its quality and infrastructure systems. The investments resulted in the installation of a Class 1000 cleanroom, ISO 9001:2015 registration, and the purchase of engineering and manufacturing equipment.

EmbedTek creates, designs, and builds embedded computers, software, sensors, cameras and displays for original equipment manufacturers. We have spent decades developing application specific computers, integrated displays, and custom I/O solutions. Our expertise has expanded to include IoT solutions, combining imaging and sensor technology with intelligent analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
